Factory Services Company Offers Rare Opportunity To Go Inside Manufacturing Plants

Advanced Technology Services hosting six plant tours to demonstrate the benefits of outsourcing maintenance in a down economy

PEORIA, IL (September 18, 2009) —As manufacturing numbers begin to show signs of improvement, companies are cautiously beginning to increase production to meet the growing demand. According to Jeff Owens, president of Advanced Technology Services, “We are seeing many of our customers begin to increase manufacturing output. Although the downturn has slimmed down the workforce, manufacturers are selectively starting to add back highly-skilled workers that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line.” According to Owens, skilled trades workers are in great demand—particularly those related to maintaining and optimizing critical production assets.

As a way to demonstrate the value and impact that production maintenance can have during this recovering economy, ATS is hosting six plant tours at its customer sites throughout the U.S. and Mexico. The tours will highlight ATS’ ability to demonstrate value in a down and recovering economy and will kick off on October 7. The following is a list of participating companies and locations:

October 7—Fayetteville, NC—Eaton Cutler-Hammer
October 13—Beltsville, MD—Eaton Aerospace
October 21—Oxford, MS—Caterpillar Inc.
October 29—Clearfield, UT—Honeywell International Inc.
November 4—Athens, GA—Eaton Automotive
November 11—Tijuana, MX—Eaton Power Systems
