Advanced Technology Services Launches Mexico Web Site and Rolls Out Marketing and Sales Plan to Meet Customer Demand

PEORIA, IL (September 18, 2009) —Amid reports of improvement in the value of Mexico’s currency and positive movement surrounding consumer demand, Advanced Technology Services (ATS) today launched a Spanish-language Web site -- www.advancedtech.com.mx. The marketing effort is specifically aimed at the Hispanic market and is the first part in a multifaceted approach to actively promote ATS’ factory services in Mexico.

According to Jeff Owens, president of Advanced Technology Services, “We are committed to growing our services in Mexico with current and new customers. Since establishing a branch office in Monterrey, Mexico, we have seen increased interest in our service offerings that make factories run better.”

According to a Nielsen study of manufacturing executives, Mexico is increasingly becoming the destination of choice for manufacturing. In fact of those polled, 34 percent indicated that they would be somewhat to very likely to move manufacturing operations to Mexico. And 65 percent said they expect to move operations to Mexico within six to 12 months.

ATS is targeting both the interior states of Mexico as well as the fast growing Maquila areas, including Tijuana, where the company will be hosting a plant tour at an Eaton Aerospace plant on November 11. Don Johnson, ATS’ vice president of marketing says the tour is designed to showcase ATS’ ability to produce measurable results for its customers. “We will be reaching out on both sides of the boarder to bring in companies looking for a way to more profitably manage their manufacturing assets.”
