Performance Measurements - Factory Maintenance

ATS carefully tracks and uses performance measurements in order to continuously improve in key areas, including operating cost savings, repair time, machine downtime hours and compliance to preventive maintenance schedules. Each month, we'll report performance using our unique four-up charts that illustrate trends, highlight the trend drivers, list action items for addressing key issues and warn of potential barriers to implementing action items. ATS' performance measurements will assure that you achieve the maintenance results you expect.

Some of ATS' performance measurements include:

  • Maintenance costs as a percentage of replacement asset value
  • Asset utilization
  • Unplanned downtime due to maintenance
  • Proactive versus reactive work
  • Cost of poor quality
  • Overtime hours as a percentage of total hours worked
  • Maintenance costs per production unit

Aligning maintenance strategies with production business goals through certain performance measurements outlines the effectiveness of maintenance activities on operations. ATS' performance measurements can be used as tools to employ corrective action and drive root cause analysis to better obtain the maintenance results desired.
