Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a frame work for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of a process or manufacturing operation by breaking it down into three components: Availability, Performance and Quality. Often it is more important to focus on the three OEE components than the consolidated OEE metric.
While there are many factors involved, it is not uncommon to see a one point improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yield savings of $100,000 to $200,000. The ATS maintenance system and Lean Manufacturing strategies and related tools are the cornerstone of ATS' approach to maintaining and supporting production assets.
